Appalachian Magic by Noelle Miller
June 30 @ 10:00 am - August 4 @ 5:00 pm
An exhibit inspired by the magic and charm found in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Noelle hopes not to directly depict this environment but bring attention to it. Nature is often taken for granted, as we rush to work everyday, or get caught up in life’s mundane activities. This show is a reminder to stop and look around, to see the beauty that we are a part of. This sense of connectedness can hopefully help us remember to appreciate the magic and beauty surrounding us everyday.
Noelle received her BFA from Colorado State University in 2013, and has been painting ever since. She moved to Asheville in 2016 to pursue a painting career and now is part of an art cooperative in the River Arts District, Trackside Studios. “I am continually inspired by the flora found in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The fireflies, the vegetation, the animals, everything. None of them could exist without the other… If that’s not magic then I don’t know what is.”
This exhibit will be on display in the Hall Gallery of the Refinery Creator Space from June 30 – August 4. The opening reception will be from 5- 8pm July 7, 2017.
