Inner Vision and Abstraction – Oct 13th 10-4pm Find out how the Surrealists and Dada artists influenced the thinking of the Abstract Expressionists and make paintings small and large in a variety of methods from frottage to free studies.
Puzzle it Out!- Nov 10th 10-4pm
The first lines in your painting are the edges of your paper! Go from this concept to cubist ideas about interlocking shapes and creating depth and make some engaging abstract works in just a day!
Printing without a Press!! – Dec 8th 10-4pm Learn techniques with Monoprinting and expand your skills with paint! You can set up you own printing workshop easily and at a low cost after this action packed day! Make lots of prints of all sizes for framing and gifts too!

Learn palette knife methods from a Master Painter. Watch and listen while Bob demos and discusses. Ask questions in this relaxed morning session. Bring your oil paints, knives and a few canvas boards and paint with Bob’s guidance in the afternoon.

Medium: Oils - (acrylic, watercolor and pastel welcome – demo will be oil)
Emphasis will be on creating a “luminous” sky to invite the viewer in and allow the essence of the day to be shared in a captivating way. Capturing intense light and balancing the atmospheric formations with a colorful, low horizon mountain foreground, will set the stage for your masterpiece.Bring a small canvas, prepared board or other surface, recommended sizes are 8 x 10 – 12 x 12, your painting supplies, a frame if you have one, and we’ll complete the painting in this one day session while our creative energy is flowing.
