Drawing from Life
October 5 - November 30
The Asheville Area Arts Council is excited to invite the art students of AC Reynolds High School into the Hall Gallery this fall.
The AC Reynolds High School Visual Arts department is proud to present a selection of student work that reflects a foundational understanding in “Drawing from Life.” Each developing level of students is represented through a series of self-portraits, anatomy studies, and figurative compositions in charcoal, graphite, mixed-media, and paint. Under the direction of instructors Mary Briden and Byron Browne, the AC Reynolds Visual Arts program strives to teach students the mechanics of drawing, the power of observation, and the ability for personal expression. A selection of student-juried exemplar work at the beginning, intermediate, and AP levels will be on display during October and November. This exhibition will be a first for AC Reynolds High with the AAAC.
