The Asheville Lyric Opera is in need of summer housing for Young Artists, a pianist, and principle artists for their summer activities. Their summer Young Artist Program brings 6 aspiring opera singers (usually in their mid-twenties) to Asheville to study with ALO’s staff for a period of weeks as a means of bridging the gap between their college educations and professional life. Following this study period they perform in the Opera’s summer production (this summer it is Elixir of Love).

– Young Artists will arrive June 4 and depart July 17, and they are looking for a host to provide a bed and bath for all or part of that time for one of our artists (though if someone can handle more that would be fine). The host is not responsible for providing food or transportation or any other needs, just a place to stay, basically.
– They have a professional coach/pianist that will also need a place for that amount of time (so an established adult professional, not a student).
– Principle Artists for Elixir will be here July 2 – July 17, and will have similar needs, just for a shorter period of time.
