The Asheville Area Arts Council (AAAC) seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to fulfill the position of Executive Director. This person will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission, while leading staff, board and community toward its strategic and financial objectives. They will serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, articulating the mission, vision, and goals to the local and broader community.

The ED will manage a dedicated and passionate staff of direct reports including (but not limited to) Programs Manager, Grants Manager, Development Manager, Communications Manager and Bookkeeper.

The Asheville Area Arts Council has a 40-year history of serving the Asheville community and surrounding area through programs, regranting and advocacy for the arts. Asheville is a unique community with national impact and a creative sector that generates more than $400M in economic impact annually.
