About the National Prize Show:
Over the course of 17 exhibits, the Cambridge Art Association’s National Prize Show has featured work by over 1,500 contemporary American artists. Past artists and entrants have represented every US state – including Alaska and Hawaii – and a full range of artistic mediums. In its history, the National Prize Show has awarded over $75,000 in cash awards to living American artists, and has been featured in numerous publications, including the Boston Globe and Art New England. Past jurors include: Jessica Hong (ICA/Boston), Michelle Grabner, and Jamilla James (ICA/LA); Nick Capasso (Fitchburg Art Museum); Paul Ha (List Visual Art Center at MIT); Malcolm Rogers (MFA Boston); The Rathbone Family; Robert Fitzpatrick (Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago); Lisa Dennison (Guggenheim); Maxwell Anderson (Whitney); Joseph Thompson (Mass MoCA); Toby Kamps (Menil Collection); Clara Kim (Walker Art Center); Tom Lentz (Harvard Art Museums); and Cheryl Brutvan (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston).
